Zusammenfassung:	LOW WEIGHT CARPET AND CARPET TILE AND METHODS OF MANUFACTURE, SIZING AND INSTALLATION A method for installing carpet on a floor of a mass transit vehicle wherein the mass transit vehicle comprises elongated passenger seat mounting tracks fastened to the floor generally parallel to each other, wherein a first pair of adjacent seat mounting tracks are separated by a first distance and wherein a second pair of adjacent seat mounting tracks are separated by a second distance different from the first distance, the method comprising: providing a plurality of rectangular carpet tiles (410) each comprising a first dimension substantially equal to the first distance and a second dimension substantially equal to the second distance; and orienting the plurality of carpet tiles (410) on the floor of the mass transit vehicle with at least one of the plurality of carpet tiles (410) between the first pair of adjacent seat mounting tracks so that the first dimension of the at least one carpet tile (410) spans the first distance between the first pair of adjacent seat mounting tracks.
