SYSTEMS AND METHODS FOR APPLYING MATERIALS TO INTERFACEAREAS Provided are methods and systems for applying materials at interface areas (157) formed by fasteners (156) and parts (152). Specifically, a material (302) is delivered to an interface area (157) such that at least a portion of a fastener (156) remains free from this material (302). The interface area (157) maybe sealed such that the material (302) is contained within that area. As such, a controlled amount of the material (302) is dispensed in a precise location. An applicator (100) used for this process may include a housing (120) and inner guide (130) slidably disposed within this housing (120). The material (302) may be delivered through an annular flow channel (140) between the housing (120) and inner guide (131). The inner guide (130) may be sealed against and, in some embodiments, centered with respect to the fastener (156). The housing (120) may be sealed with respect to the part (152) and, in some embodiments, may be rotated with respect to the part (152) to redistribute the material (302) at the interface area (157).
