Zusammenfassung:The proposed solar powered piston pumping system utilises common commercially available components to produce the lowest capital outlay. It can only operate in conjunction with the invented low starting torque torsion spring coupling. The invented coupling system has been field tested with an operational prototype up and running. The main motivation to produce this solar powered piston pumping system is to fill a gap in the current market for the use of solar powered pumping systems, where centrifugal pump systems fall short of market requirements. Of high importance will be the systems potential to reduce internal combustion engine power for many new and existing pumping situations.
