Zusammenfassung:Although the external dimensions of a blade which is the most important part of a wind turbine for a vertical-axis wind power generator will differ depending on the output to be generated by the wind power generator, the present invention focuses on the normally unnoticed reverse side of the blade, that is, the back side of the blade, and forms the blade into a shape capable of capturing a breeze however weak. Upright blades are disposed on the outer ends of multiple horizontal arms (struts) radially attached to a vertical center shaft. Each blade has a horizontal cross section having a U-shaped contour, wherein the outer surface of the rear half portion of the streamlined shape, as opposed to the front half portion, is formed into a convex arc shape while the center shaft-side surface is left open in the U-shape, so that the blade is pushed as the reverse side effectively catches wind. Furthermore, although the blade will gradually begin to receive wind force from a lateral direction as the wind turbine rotates when pushed from behind by wind force, the other blades will be pushed in a forward direction by the wind force striking the U-shaped portions, thereby creating a force for rotating the wind turbine. The blade functions in a similar manner also when the opening of the U-shape is closed so as to form a concave arc shape.
