Zusammenfassung: | A head for an oral care implement comprises a mounting surface and at least one twisted tuft comprising a plurality of filaments and having a base mounted on the mounting surface. The twisted tuft has an outer lateral surface, a longitudinal axis, a lower cross-sectional area extending in a plane that is perpendicular to the longitudinal axis and that is arranged at the base, and an upper cross-sectional area extending in a plane that is perpendicular to the longitudinal axis and that is arranged at the free end of the twisted tuft. The lower cross-sectional area and the upper cross-sectional area have substantially the same shape and size. At least the filaments forming the outer lateral surface are each substantially straight and are all inclined with respect to the longitudinal axis in either a clockwise direction or in a counterclockwise direction. The upper cross-sectional area is twisted with respect to the lower cross-sectional area by a twisting angle α and the upper cross-sectional area is not congruent with the lower cross-sectional area when they are orthogonally projected onto each other along the longitudinal axis. |
