Zusammenfassung: | EJECTING ASSEMBLY FOR A SURGICAL STAPLER An end effector (10) includes first (12) and second jaws (14), a drive screw (20), a lead screw nut (38), and a drive beam (28). The drive screw (20) is disposed within the firstjaw(12). The lead screw nut (38) defines a threaded bore that receives the drive screw (20). The lead screw nut (38) is advanced along the drive screw (20) as the drive screw is rotated in a first direction and is retracted along the drive screw (20) as the drive screw rotates in a second direction. The drive beam (28) is releasably coupled to the lead screw nut (38) when the lead screw nut (38) is in a retracted position. As the lead screw nut (38) is advanced the drive beam (28) is pulled by the lead screw nut (38). The drive beam (28) is decoupled from the lead screw nut (38) as the lead screw nut is advanced such that the lead screw nut (38) is advanced relative to the drive beam (28). |
