Zusammenfassung:A carbon dioxide (C02) removal system for removing C02 from a gas stream by bringing the gas stream into contact with a circulating ammoniated 5 solution stream such that C02 is removed from the gas stream by the ammoniated solution stream, said system including: a gas-liquid separating device 40 configured to receive a portion of the circulating ammoniated solution stream, separate the received ammoniated solution into an ammonia rich gas phase and an ammonia lean liquid phase, and 10 reintroduce the ammonia rich gas phase into the circulating ammoniated solution stream, the gas-liquid separating device further being configured to receive an alkaline additive to be mixed with the received ammoniated solution; a C02 capture arrangement 11 including a C02 absorber 15 configured to receive the gas stream containing C02 and contacting the gas stream with the 15 ammoniated solution stream such that C02 is removed from the gas stream by the ammoniated solution stream to form a C02 rich ammoniated solution stream; and a regeneration arrangement 9 comprising a regenerator 25 configured to receive the C02 rich ammoniated solution stream from the C02 capture 20 arrangement, and to separate C02 from the ammoniated solution to form a C02 lean ammoniated solution stream, and to return said C02 lean ammoniated solution stream to the C02 capture arrangement.
