Work assistance system, portable terminal, and work assistance method

The present invention provides a work assistance system, a portable terminal, and a work assistance method capable of improving the quality of work. This work assistance system is provided with an area identification indicator provided for each of a plurality of unit work areas and a portable terminal capable of recognizing the area identification indicator, the portable terminal including: a storage unit for storing, for each area identification indicator, a work item of the corresponding unit work area in correlation therewith; a display unit for displaying information about at least a work item of the unit work area in which work is being performed; a work-completed information input unit for inputting work-completed information about each work item; and a work determination unit for determining whether or not work in the unit work area has been finished. The work determination unit, upon receiving prescribed input indicating that work has been finished, determines that work has been finished if work-completed information is inputted for all work items of the unit work area, or determines that work has not been finished if work-completed information is not inputted for one or more work items of the unit work area.
