- 62 COLOUR GRADIENTS FROM SMOOTH-PROFILE AND SHARP-PROFILE PATHS USING EFFICIENT SOLVING A method of generating an image from a plurality of diffusion curves each having at least one value constraint on a side of the curve. At least one diffusion curve is a blocking curve for which colour values on either side of the blocking curve are substantially unaffected by constraints of proximate curves on the corresponding other side of the blocking curve.
