Zusammenfassung:VESSEL SEALING INSTRUMENT There is provided a method for routing electrical leads through a bipolar electrosurgical instrument (10). The method comprises the step of forming first and second shafts (12a, 12b) with respective handles (17a, 17b) at proximal ends (16a, 16b) thereof and an end effector (100) having two pivotably coupled jaw members (110, 120) at a distal end thereof (14a, 14b). The method further comprises the step of coupling the first and second leads (210a, 210b) to at least one of the first and second shafts (12a, 12b) and routing each of the first and second conductive leads (210a, 210b) therethrough. One of the first and second conductive leads (210a, 210b) is coupled directly to one of the jaw members (110, 120) and the other one of the first and second conductive leads (210a, 210b) is routed through a pivot member (150) and to the other jaw member (110, 120).
