A method of 5 operating a rocking environmental sensor (200) is also provided. In one embodiment, the rocking environmental sensor (200) includes: (1) a base (210) having a fulcrum point (216) and (2) a face (220) including a first movement initiator area (262) and a second movement 10 initiator area (264) configured to cause the face (220) to toggle with respect to the fulcrum point (216) and complete a signaling path indicating a user input.
