The controller controls switching the connection switching device at a switching timing that is determined in accordance with apredicted amount of electrical power generation by the power generation facility andwith apredicteddemand of the power system. Thus, itbecomes 15 possible to effectively use the output of renewable energy including its variation, and supply electrical power in accordance with the electrical power demand of users by discharging the storage battery.
