Zusammenfassung:A method of authenticating a security document, the method including the steps of: providing the security document with a first optical element; providing the security document with a second optical element wherein light from the first optical element is transformable into a light pattern of a chosen design by the second optical element; positioning the security document such that light from the first optical element is directed onto or into the second optical element; and viewing light directly from the second optical element to verify the presence of the light pattern and thereby authenticating the security document.
