Zusammenfassung:A palletiser (10) including a conveyor (11) for conveying objects (14-18) to be palletised to a loading region (27) and a palletising head (26) which is movable between the loading region (27) and a palletising region (28). The palletising head (26) is rotatable and has first and second movable abutments (35, 36) which are oriented generally perpendicular to each other. Each movable abutment (35, 36) is movable relative to and independently of the other movable abutment (35, 36) in a manner to maintain the generally perpendicular orientation between them. The movable abutments (35, 36) are operable to engage surfaces of one or more objects (14-18) to be palletised in the loading region (27), the surfaces being generally perpendicular to each other. Upon that surface engagement, the palletising head (26) is operable to shift the objects (14-18) from the loading region (27) to the palletising region (28) and to orientate the objects (14- 18) through rotation of the palletising head (26) to adopt a selected pattern of objects in the palletising region (28).
