Fastener with rotating strip

Abstract This invention relates to self locking fastener eg a stud , screw, bolt (3,2,6) using a strip (5) which forms part of the thread(2) and this strip (5) is attached by a round pin (4) to a flat surface created on the fastener threads(2)and this strip is pivoted with the pin (5)as centre and rotates freely from 0 to 360 degrees and the axis of the pin and rotation of the strip is perpendicular to the axis of the fastener. The length of the strip as shown in figure 2 parallel to the axis of the fastener is more than the diameter of the fastener threads(major minor dia) such as when the strip rotates on the pin its diameter is more than the diameter of the fastener threads and hence it cannot be retracted and locks. The thickness of the strip(width strip) is less than the diameter of the threads (minor dia)to allow Initial passage in the hole. The strength of the fastener lock depends entirely on the size of the pin and the material used One end of the pin is fitted in the fastener and other end supports the rotating strip Further methods as shown in figure 3 and 4 can include the pin being supported on both ends or one end by the fastener and the strip or strips rotates freely in the centre such that the axis of the fastener and the axis of the length of the strip are in a same line
