Zusammenfassung:	The invention relates to a method for monitoring a gas passage of an obstructive sleep apnea treatment unit, comprising the following steps consisting in: measuring (40) a parameter representing an obstruction in the gas passage caused by condensed water, and determining (48) the presence of an obstruction by processing said parameter. The invention also relates to a device for monitoring a gas passage (10) extending from an obstructive sleep apnea treatment unit (6), comprising means (18, 20) for measuring a parameter representing an obstruction in the gas passage (10) caused by condensed water, and means (22) for determining the presence of an obstruction by means of parameter processing.
