Zusammenfassung: | Abstract COMPRESSION OF HIGH BIT-DEPTH IMAGES 5 A method of storing an image is disclosed. A high bit-depth frequency-domain representation of the image is received and divided into a first bit-plane portion and a second bit-plane portion. The first bit-plane portion has a higher bit-plane than the second bit-plane portion. Each of the first bit-plane portion and the second bit-plane portion is partitioned into a plurality of partitions. At least one partition from the second bit-plane portion is inserted 10 into the plurality of partitions of the first bit-plane portion to produce a plurality of arranged partitions of the image.
