Method and device for producing lids and/or bottoms of boxes from paper or cardboard

The invention relates to methods and devices for producing boxes from paper or cardboard, said boxes comprising a cut-out shape (2) in the form of the bottom or the lid, with a lateral wall stuck thereto. Said lateral wall is formed from a strip (1) having a beginning (4), an end, and connection tongues (3) on a longitudinal side. First, the connection tongues (3) are bent by up to 90°C. Then, the beginning of the strip (4) is applied and fixed to the lateral surface (11) of a cylindrical female mould (10) having a cross-section corresponding to the cross-section of the box, by means of a male mould (20). Then, the female mould (10) is turned. The strip (1) is sucked onto the lateral surface (11) and held in place by means of a vacuum. After an adhesive has been applied to the beginning (4) or end of the strip (1), the beginning (4) and end of the strip are stuck together. Then, a cut-out shape in the form of the bottom or the lid, which has previously had adhesive applied to the periphery thereof, is pressed onto the connection tongues (3). Once the adhesive has hardened and the vacuum has been stopped, the finished box can be removed from the female mould (10).
