Method and arrangement for the detection of traffic infringements in a traffic light zone

The invention concerns a method and an arrangement for the detection of traffic infringements in a traffic light zone (1) that is delimited by stop lines (2) and is particularly suitable where multiple lanes are to be monitored at high traffic density. Red light infringements and speed infringements of vehicles can be detected that drive through the radar lobe of a radar unit (3) that is set up at the edge of the road (5). An additional laser scanner (9) whose relative position to radar unit (3) is known scans the stop lines (2) and even ensures the detection of a red light infringement of a vehicle that is obscured by other vehicles from the radar beam.
