Pitched roof structure for wooden building

In the context of a pitched roof for a wooden building, a roof surface is constituted by sheathing board(s) 31 laid without gap across the entire roof surface over top surface(s) of diagonal member(s) 21 installed in the roof pitch direction; underlayment 32 laid without gap over top surface(s) of said sheathing board(s) 31; and tile batten(s) 33 attached over top surface(s) of said underlayment 32; wherein drainage site(s) is/are formed, at appropriate intervals, in the aforesaid tile batten(s) 33; and wherein roof tile(s) 36 is/are held in place by the aforesaid tile batten(s) 33. Sheet-metal closure(s) and/or flashing are attached so as to overlap underlayment 32 at eave and/or gable end(s). This makes it possible to stably maintain the strength and watertightness of the roof surface over long periods.
