Zusammenfassung:MANUFACTURING PROCESS FOR SURGE ARRESTER MODULE USING PREIMPREGNATED COMPOSITE An electrical module assembly (605) used in a surge arrester is manufactured by 5 wrapping an electrical module assembly (605) including at least one metal oxide varistor (MOV) disk (115) to which a reinforcing structure (305) including a pre-impregnated epoxy/glass-fiber composite has been applied with shrink film (620) and compacting the wrapped electrical module assembly (605) by heating the shrink film (620) such that the shrink film (620) shrinks and applies a radially compressive force to the electrical module 1o assembly (605). The wrapped electrical module assembly (605) then is cured at a temperature at which the shrink film (620) no longer applies a compressive force.
