Abstract A connecting device (100), which is provided for a separation element (1000) with a panel (4), in particular a glass panel, comprises at least one profile strip (2), which comprises a 5 back element (21) and a first and second side element (22, 23), which define a mounting channel (24), within which the edge of the panel (4) is held by means of an adhesive (3). According to the invention the profile strip (2) comprises an anchor channel (211), which is connected by a through slot 10 (2111) to the mounting channel (24), within which a separation profile (1, l' l''), which is provided with window openings (14), through which adhesive (3) applied to the panel (4) can penetrate into the anchor channel (211), separates with a middle part (11) the back element (21) and with a first and a 15 second side part (12, 13) the first or second side element respectively (22 or 23 respectively) of the profile strip (2) from the panel (4). The profile strips (2) mounted according to the invention, which preferably form a frame, can be connected to further profiles, e.g. a holding grip (70), or to 20 at least one guide device (6), in particular to a carriage (61) guided in a rail (62).
