Electromagnetic casting apparatus for silicon

Disclosed is an electromagnetic casting apparatus for silicon, wherein an outward deformation of a crucible (200) can be prevented during electromagnetic casting of silicon. Specifically disclosed is an electromagnetic casting apparatus (1) for silicon, which comprises a furnace container (100), a conductive crucible (200) that is provided within the furnace container (100), and an induction coil (300) that is provided on the outer periphery of the crucible (200). In the electromagnetic casting apparatus (1) for silicon, the inside of the furnace container (100) is set at a constant pressure using a predetermined gas and a voltage is applied to the induction coil (300), so that the silicon in the crucible (200) is melted by induction heating, and then solidified. In the electromagnetic casting apparatus (1) for silicon, a rigid structure (810) that is formed from an electrically insulating material is fitted to the outer peripheral surface of the crucible (200).
