| Zusammenfassung: | Systems and methods of treating water, in particular to treating wastewater are disclosed. The system includes a plurality of stacked chambers A, B and C in fluid communication with each other and connected by a filter means where the filter means includes a vertical trickle filter with vertical trickle zones 3, 6 and 8 and the chambers optionally include a simulated wetland zone 2. Water is contacted with the plurality of stacked chambers and a porous filtering medium of said vertical trickle filter and flows by gravity feed through the chambers and filter means thereby to treat water. |
