Zusammenfassung:	The present invention relates to methods and compositions for the treatment and/or the prevention of conditions related to high levels of expression and/ or activity of the transient receptor potential vanilloid-1 (TRPV1). Amongst others, the conditions to be treated are eye conditions such as discomfort and altered sensitivity of the cornea following refractive surgery, use of contact lenses, dry eyes and diabetic retinopathy.
