Zusammenfassung:	An air bag device enabling a reduction in troublesome operations for manufacturing parts by connecting harness to its electrical device by using generally used steering shaft and inflator to suppress part cost. In this air bag device, an air bag cover (16) storing a folded air bag (10) is installed at the approximately center part of a steering handle (50R), and the electrical device (M) is disposed in the recessed part (16a) of the air bag cover (16). The air bag device is characterized in that the rear side of the recessed part (16a) of the air bag cover is covered by the fixed end of a cylindrical tether belt (11a) restricting a distance in which the air bag (10) is inflated and developed, and the harness (26) is inserted into a harness insertion hole (11ah') formed at the fixed end and connected to the electrode member of the electrical device (M).
