Active containing delivery particle

An active ingredient-containing carrier particle is provided to allow a non-surfactant active ingredient to be delivered more uniformly when used in a detergent composition, thereby improving cleaning quality. A non-surfactant active ingredient-containing carrier particle comprises: (a) a first coating layer comprising (i) a non-surfactant active ingredient dispersed uniformly in the coating to provide a relative standard deviation of 20% or less of the non-surfactant active ingredient particles, (ii) a solid coating aid component having a mean particle size of less than 50 micrometers, and (iii) a binder component having a viscosity of less than about 4 Pa.s(4,000 cps); (b) a core substance having a mean particle size of 250 micrometers or higher and a distribution span of about 1-2, wherein at least a part of the core substance is coated with the coating layer; and (c) optionally, at least one additional coating layer.
