Zusammenfassung:	A support and transport system for a patient care apparatus comprised of a first arm assembly connected to a stationary support and a second arm assembly connected to a patient transfer vehicle. An end cap for supporting a patient care apparatus is selectively attachable to the first arm assembly and to the second arm assembly. Locking means are provided on the end cap for locking the end cap onto one of the first and second arm assemblies. The other of the first and second arm assemblies is detachable from the end cap only when the end cap is locked onto the one of the first and second arm assemblies.
