Carbon material (I) comprising organic groups, obtained by the reaction of carbon material with organic compounds of formula (1), is new. Either R 1>, R 2>H, acceptor groups, donor groups, alkyl or aryls with acceptor and donor substituents and/or hydrophilic and hydrophobic groups; or R 1>R 2>hetero cyclic system, which is replaced with acceptor or donor groups and/or hydrophilic or hydrophobic groups. Independent claims are also included for: (1) the preparation of carbon material with organic groups; and (2) dispersion comprising carbon materials with organic groups. [Image].
