Zusammenfassung:	The invention relates to a manually operated valve assembly (100) for use in the medical technology field, by means of which the following switching states can be effected as desired: connecting a supply line (6) to a line leading to a body cavity; connecting a suction line (5) to a line leading to a body cavity, and; interrupting the connections between the supply and suction lines (5, 6) from the line(s) leading to the body cavity. Said valve assembly (100) comprises an actuating element (8), which can be actuated over an actuating path B while overcoming a restoring force, and is designed so that the different switching states are effected during actuation over actuating path B.
