Zusammenfassung:	A wheel end includes a housing, which may be a steering bundle, and a hub which rotates in the housing on a double row bearing that is located between a spindle on the hub and the housing. The spindle has a groove which opens out of it at the back face of the initially separate inner race. Once the inner race is installed over the spindle a deformable ring is placed over the spindle behind the inner race and around the groove. The ring is then plastically deformed, by roll forming, into the groove and against the back of the inner race to retain the inner race in position and thereby unitize the wheel end.
