Zusammenfassung:A method and apparatus for displaying caller ID for call waiting during digital data and analog facsimile calls from a fixed wireless terminal (200) operating in a wireless local loop. During a digital data call, the FWT (200) may ring the telephone to indicate another call has arrived and display the calling party information on the caller ID box (222). While in a facsimile call, the FWT (200) may generate an audible or visual indicator to alert the user that a call is incoming and send the data to the caller ID box (222) when the facsimile machine is in idle.
