Zusammenfassung: | In the gas phase chlorination of lignocellulosic material with a consistency of at least 10%, pref. 15-60 (20-40)%, the chlorine partial pressure which arises at a position in the material in a reaction zone after a suitable predetermined reaction time controls the chlorine addn. in such a way that the chlorine partial pressure at this position remain constant. Pref. a separate inert gas, esp. air, is supplied to the reaction zone, to overcome those types of disturbance in the control of the chlorine additive, caused by variable amts. of inert gas mixt. derived from the lignocellulosic feed material. System enables the chlorine addn. in the gas phase chlorination to be controlled and the residual chlorine leaving with the product to be minimised. |
