A portable data processing unit worn by the patient is connected to the data acquisition circuitry (21) and process the pulmonary ventilation data to produce calculated parameters, such as breathing frequency, total pulmonary ventilation, inspiratory breathing time, expiratory breathing time, and total breathing time. |
