Zusammenfassung:Compounds of the formula wherein X represents a hydrogen atom, a cyano group, a substituted or non-substituted alkoxy- or cycloalkyloxy group, an optionally substituted alkylthio or arylthio group, a substituted or non-substituted alkyl group or a group -NRR min , in which R is a hydrogen atom or an alkyl group, R min is a substituted or non-substituted alkyl- or aryl group, a cycloalkyl- or an acyl group and R and R min together with the interlacent nitrogen atom may form a heterocyclic ring, Y and Z independently are halogen atoms, alkyl-, alkoxy-or nitro groups and m and n each are 0, 1 or 2, whereby the same or different groups Y may be present when m equals 2 and the same or different groups Z when n equals 2. The compounds are prepared by reacting a nicotinic anilide with a thionyl halide. The intermediate phenylimino-c-(halo)methyl-pyridine is subsequently reacted with QX, wherein Q is hydrogen or an alkali metal. The compounds are useful as fungicides and plant in growth regulants.
