The compound possesses antimicrobial activity. Also included in the invention are fermentation processes for preparation of the above-mentioned antibiotic compound. In addition, the invention includes pharmaceutical compositions containing said antibiotic compound and the use of said antibiotic compound and compositions for combating bacterial infections.
