Zusammenfassung:New phosphorous-containing macrocycles and process for their production, said process consisting in creating a bridge of imine linkages between at least two molecules of a dicarbonyl compound and at least two molecules of phosphohydrazide. Each macrocycle consists of at least one closed chain composed of an even number, equal to or more than four, of synthons, each synthon corresponding to a molecule which, in the chain, follows a synthon corresponding to the other molecule. Said process enables in particular the production of macrocycles having following the molecular structure (I).
