Zusammenfassung:	The method involves working an initial mixture based on thermoplastic materials into an agglomerate or granules by thermal pretreatment above the softening temperature and subsequently, possibly after further intermediate steps, mechanically reducing it in size to a grain mixture of any desired grain size distribution. The grain mixture of free-flowing particles is poured continuously onto a conveyor belt to form an even layer and, with heat applied until plasticising of the thermoplastic material, is sintered to form a cohesive sheet-like structure and is then pressed under the effect of pressure and heat.
