All-weather awning with an actuation unit to fold together or fold apart an awning sheet (16) or to roll up the awning sheet on a roller (15) or respectively unwind the awning sheet from a roller, at least two supporting braces (2) (sic.) each of which has a fastening device to mount the one end on part of a building and a support (13) to prop the other end, a drop rod (18) disposed on the outer end of the awning sheet and two wheels (21, 32), around which a pull organ (29, 30) is placed, each supporting brace (2) comprising a hollow section having at least three longitudinal cavities, the first open longitudinal cavity (20') has a longitudinal slit (55) open toward the second longitudinal cavity (24), a moving device (25) of a carriage (20) is movably disposed in the second longitudinal cavity, this moving device has a coupling device (19) to connect the carriage (20) with the drop rod (18) and that a tensioning device (27) carrying one of the said wheels is slidably disposed in the third longitudinal cavity (26) to tension the pull organ (29, 30) characterized in that a slide (23) is movably disposed in a fourth longitudinal cavity (22) and has an engaging piece (42) extending through a longitudinal slit (43) of the fourth longitudinal cavity, that the two ends of the pull organ (29, 30) are fixed to the slide (23), that the carriage has a further coupling device (58, 60) to connect the carriage with the engaging piece of the slide (23), and that in the tensioned state of the pull organ (29, 30) the said tensioning device (27) is fixable in the third longitudinal cavity.
