Zusammenfassung:	The present invention relates to an insert (1) for use together with an absorbent article (5) such as a nappy, an incontinence product, a sanitary towel, a panty liner or the like. The insert (1) has an upper side (15) and a lower side (16) and comprises an essentially non-urine-absorbing spacer element (2) intended to keep the absorbent article (5) at a distance from the skin of a wearer during use. The insert (1) is characterized in that it also comprises an essentially non-urine-absorbing liquid-permeable retaining layer (3) located against said spacer element (2), which retaining layer (3) is capable of retaining motions.
