STECHSYSTEM

The piercing system (1) has a lancet carrier strip (3) provided with multiple lancets (4), a transport unit (5,11). A piercing drive (6) is provided that moves the lancet situated in the piercing position together with a section of the lancet carrier strip during the piercing motion, where the lancet is attached, in the piercing direction. A part of the transport unit is located behind the piercing position in the delivery direction, and is moved prior to or during the piercing motion of a lancet that has previously brought into the piercing position.
