Zusammenfassung:The invention proposes a locking mechanism for, for example, a built-in ashtray (1) in a motor car (not illustrated). The invention proposes forming the locking mechanism with a wire (5) and a slotted-guide track (13) which causes the wire (5) to engage behind an abutment (18) during locking and which releases the wire (5) again when it is pressed from the top for unlocking purposes. The invention proposes arranging the wire (5) perpendicular to the slotted-guide track (13). This provides a greater degree of accuracy with the given production and assembly tolerances.
