Zusammenfassung:Preparing organic compounds (I) e.g. functionalized (hetero)aryl compounds, comprises reacting (hetero)aryl or (cyclo)alkenyl compounds (II) with halide containing (cyclo)alkyl or (cyclo)alkenyl compounds (III), in the presence of stoichiometric amounts of elemental magnesium, catalytic amounts of a transition metal compound, and if appropriate, in the presence of a nitrogen-, oxygen- and/or phosphorus- containing additive in a catalytic or stoichiometric amount, based on (II). Preparing organic compounds of formula (R-R1a) (I) e.g. functionalized (hetero)aryl compounds, comprises reacting (hetero)aryl or (cyclo)alkenyl compounds of formula (R-X) (II) with halide containing (cyclo)alkyl or (cyclo)alkenyl compounds of formula (R1a-Y 1>) (III), in the presence of stoichiometric amounts of elemental magnesium, catalytic amounts of a transition metal compound, and if appropriate, in the presence of a nitrogen-, oxygen- and/or phosphorus- containing additive in a catalytic or stoichiometric amount, based on (II).
