The switch (100) has a cover window (6) arranged at a removable cover module (4), which is attached to a housing (2). A window element (7) is provided at the cover module, and is pivotably arranged opposite to the cover window. The window element has a blocking tappet that contacts a blocking element of a slider in the cover module in a closing position of the window element. The window element is secured against an opening in the closing position, and is folded up in an open position to provide a test area in the cover module.
