Zusammenfassung:The telecommunications system has subscriber channels (72) via which the digital data can be transferred in the form of data packets, each containing a destination address. A local exchange (10) has coupling nodes via which a subscriber channel can be switched through to an on-going channel. A concentrator (55) combines the data packets for several subscriber channels and feeds them into a single channel to the local exchange. Independent claims are also included for a method of operating a telecommunications system and a concentrator.
