Zusammenfassung:	Device for processing in one cutting plane materials moving in one movement direction comprises a rotating tool head supporting a cutting ring (30) having a number of processing elements (32) arranged on its periphery. The processing elements have at least one cutting segment (34) with at least one cutting corner (37) facing the material and defining the cutting plane. At least one of the processing elements has at least one notch segment (36, 36'') facing in the axial direction of the material and protruding over the cutting corner in the cutting plane. Preferred Features: The notch segment is ground out of the processing element. The processing elements are soldered onto the cutting ring.
