Zusammenfassung:The device (21) has a rail mechanism attached with its longitudinal side against a chain (13) of a chain drive (10). A contact area is connected with the chain and formed from a consumable solid lubricant partially made of graphite and applied on the chain. A guide element of the mechanism forms the contact area and is contacted with sleeves of the chain. Outer guide elements of the mechanism retain outer plates of the chain between the outer guide elements. A connection section connects the guide elements. A holding device positions and holds the mechanism relative to the chain. An independent claim is also included for a method for lubricating a chain drive for a motor cycle.
