A receiver which receives that information from the base station includes a reception unit that has an operation unit, which has a current position acquisition unit that acquires current position information, which is information about one's current position, a position information setting circuit, a GPS reception antenna, a GPS reception circuit, a GPS decoder, an area discriminator, which is a comparison means that compares the current position information and the area information; and reception decoder, which performs reception processing of the main data in accordance with the results of the comparison by the area discriminator.
