Zusammenfassung:	In a process to treat a moving paper or carton web, the web is dried and passes through a broad nip calender where it is glazed. After passing through the nip esp. a contoured strip coat is applied to the web by spray, free jet or drum. The web is pre-dried before passing through the broad nip that is at least 40 mm wide and limited by a rotating belt (5). The strip applied is an undercoat of glue, starch and/or pigment. Also claimed is a commensurate assembly (12).
