The layer is heated as it is applied Independent claims are included for: (a) as above where a gun heats the sealing material and applies it as a flat layer; (b) as above where the layer fits perfectly the contours of the end of the body; (c) as above where the layer is formed on the outside surface of a second hollow body that engages with the exposed end of the first body; (d) using the above to seal a fiber reinforced thermoplastic hollow body.
